My blog is not that old and does not get a very good level of traffic. But I think I write good stuff, and I feel that I am not doing anything wrong to the blogging community. One of my recent article was stumbled by my friend. I send an email to one of some of my friends when I post a new article. If they like the article, they may comment and may submit to a social bookmark site, if they feel that it is worth doing it. For the last article also, I sent an email to my friends notifying them of the recent entry I have made. But something that happened this time was really unexpected. I got the following comment in a social network about the entry.
It accused my friend of a spammer and trying to promote only their own content. If you see my profile in Stumbleupon, which is my favourite social bookmark tool, you can see that I have visited other blogs, make my choice and all other stuff. I have landed into some very good pages through this service and that is the reason why I love this tool. The guy, who posted the comment was a senior member of this service and he has stumbled more pages than me. But something upset me was that accusing my friend of stumbling only his own pages, my page and another page. It is a fact that he joined the service late and he is a man with a busy schedules and heading one of the promising startups in the country last year.
Now the real question which came to my mind was: who doesn’t try to promote his own work? If I did wrong asking my friend to visit my blog, then what is the right way to let others know that I have a blog? If he liked the content and he submitted it to a social bookmark site, what is wrong with it? I am clueless. Another question is that, why didn’t the person put a comment on my blog, saying that my content is bad? Is it a right way to do that? I don’t know. I am new to the blogging by their standards. I may not be producing as good content as that person does. So what, I like blogging and I will do that as long as I enjoy it.
Another thing I noticed was that he is actually hiding the pages which he liked. It is available only to his friends. Then I can also accuse thing of doing the same thing – “promoting his and his friends’ blogs only”. But I am not going to do that. If you are not sharing what you like with others, what is the point in using a social tool for that? It is all about sharing and collaboration. When someone posts an opinion in a social tool, the effect becomes viral. If it is good, then it will give you more visitors, but if it is bad – you can guess it. Bad opinions posted in a social network can discourage a new blogger. If he is not doing anything illegal, I would I would choose to send a mail or contact him through his blog.
I know that he might have noticed something which is bad in this blog according to him. I would ask the person who posted that comment to let me know what is wrong with my blog. I will make a honest effort to correct that mistake. I would like to know your opinion on this matter. How will you handle such a situation? Please post your opinions below. I am going to submit this blog entry to Stumbleupon, because I want to correct myself. Please help me if I have done something wrong.

Derick,
why are you even bothered about that ass hole man. Let him comment what ever he likes. You dont need to provide an explanation. This is our world, our blog, and our stumble account. Who is that bastard to comment ???

Niyaz,
I feel that it is not a problem of balancing. But it implies that I am not free to express my ideas. As Kenney says, this is our world. When I go through stumble, I click on thumbs down only if I find that the content is copied from some other blog. Otherwise, I think that we should respect the views of the fellow blogger. If I don’t agree with him, I would just go to another page.

Hi,
I would like to add multi language support, but I am not sure about the effectiveness of automated multi language tools. And I know only English as a foreign language. Thanks for the support.
