Whenever I see a page which deals with SEO or traffic generation, one common advise is to generate Fresh Content. But how often one can generate fresh content? I did some home brainstorming on this matter and reached some conclusion which I will share with you.
- Most of the fresh content generating blogs are news based blogs or websites.
- Another category of blogs which can generate fresh content is tech or gadget based sites. There are lots of things happening in this arena all the time. So one would not find some shortage of topic to blog on.
- Some outstanding people like Seth Godin produces unique content on the things which we see around us, but do not give that much attention.
- Another place where fresh content is always generated is forums. They are special animals on the Internet.
- Another way to generate fresh content is to make some sub-niche topics also in your blog. Something related to your main topic will be excellent. So you will have a lot of topics open to you. One can write about the main topic on three or four days and write the sub-topics on the other days.
- Another type of blogs which generate fresh content daily is online diary which many people keep in their blogs.
As you can see from the pattern, fresh content is provided by some good sources like news and some tips and tricks sites everyday. Apart from these I could not find any popular site which make fresh content on a regular basis – like articles. Most of the sites use news items or some reviews to make their blogs updated. This is a good strategy as one can express his opinion on some interested topic everyday. Although it does not need a thorough brainstorming session, you can make a good post within an hour.
