A Moment of Pride

PSLV

India today successfully launched 10 satellites in a single mission. It is a great achievement, considering that India did it before many other countries could do. Also, there are so many emotions behind this achievement. When India was denied all the access to space technologies, we went on with our space programme and could make a mark in this field. Although there is no private participation in the space research, other than making components, we have done significant amount of work to keep our heads high.

One thing which I wanted to mention is about the importance given to this achievement by media. I could rarely find any news channel giving a significant amount of time for this news. They have their own issues to handle, and this is not an achievement for them.

Great work done by ISRO and I wish them every success in their next adventure, Chandrayan – The Unmanned Mission to Moon.

The is an achievement indeed. But Why are we trying to put a man on the moon ? Are we trying to copy USA ? Why dont we use out resources for something more productive, like finding some alternate fuels.
