Postman Asking for Money to Celebrate Diwali

India Post

India Post

Yesterday, I was shocked when the postman came and asked for money to celebrate Diwali. I never expected some government official to do this. I told my friends also about this incident and I came to know that the postman went to each and every apartment in our colony. Moreover, they were writing the amount given by each of the colony residents. I wish my letters will reach faster… Beacause, it takes minimum 10 days for a letter from Kerala to reach Mumbai.

Let us see…

these kind of things, sometimes turn in to little blackmailing, right ?

my amma feels that, if we don’t pay the BSNL guy something, when he repairs our phone, he may not come back next time we register a complaint, and i think, she is right in someway ..

and yea, we have a funny postman here in Cochin, where I work, he used to dump all the letters that he has no clue about, on our gate .. ( we even got a copy of a complaint that a lady sent to the “vanitha commission” about how her husband treated me and extra affairs etc et .. ) and recently, we started putting these back in to the post box here, and yea, the same guy should collect it from there right ? and he stopped this after we did it few times :D

    • Yes Dinu. BSNL guys used to ask everyone for money when they were under DoT. Ever since government made it a limited company, they have changed the attitude.

And the incident about Vanitha Commission was funny ;-)
