Many a times we discuss our experience, problems and success with our friends. Some of us may be also active participants in some of the respected forums in the Internet. So this is a starting point for good post. I will explain how it could be implemented successfully.
As I said earlier, we share our thoughts and experience with our friends over some casual talk. Sometimes, we would educate them about the things we know better and at other times they may do the same. So what is happening in common in both cases? Yes, it is the exchange of valuable information from someone’s experience. Why don’t we share these casual talks with our readers? I don’t mean to say that you need to share it like a script, but share the summary of your discussion and some conclusions both of you have arrived.
There are so many other people who think just like the way each one of us do. That reveals the beauty of this concept. When you share something which like minded people also want, that creates a kind of bonding relation between you and your reader. If you share some great stuff, that can have following benefits:
Like minded people will become your regular readers.
- You build a community around those people.
- Some readers will get in touch with you, through your web site which makes that a good relation.
- They will start commenting on your posts.
- They will also share this information with other like minded people and
- You will become more visible in the blogging community.
If you plan carefully and write interesting stories regularly, then it is going to be fun. All the above steps are equally important for the second case also. If you regularly contribute to a forum, and if you are sure that you have helped someone to solve some problem, then you can summarize the whole thread into a good post, which other people will also benefit from. This practice has got another advantage also. It will benefit to so many other people who doesn’t participate in forums. I have observed that when people need something, they don’t usually search forums. Instead, they will search web only. So it is a good idea to have such summarizing posts. But you should make sure that you only post something in which you only contributed something or you have initiated a healthy thread. And at the end of the discussion you can summarize it in your blog and posts a link to that article in the forum itself. Some forums may not allow you to do so.
Write regularly. When I started blogging, I wanted to write regularly. But later I made my targets to make two posts in a week, which further reduced to one in a week and there was a time when I didn’t post anything for over two weeks. I know that is shame on me. But later, I started to do this regularly. Then I saw a difference in the reader pattern also. Now I post daily. I devote some time for blogging only. Yeah, I know that I need some brainstorming everyday. But now I enjoy that. I won’t ask you to write daily, but make sure that it is regular and it has a pattern.
