Everyone out there has a reason to blog. Sometimes it may be a way to express their feelings, to share the ideas, to share knowledge, to make some good amount of money and the list goes on. But most of the blogs which are out there in the web today are about making money online. Not surprisingly, many sites are making good amount of money also. So if you are also out there to make some money, the real question to face is, how? There are a lot of sites giving you that information. In fact, I won’t also mind some money in my pocket. But the main idea behind this blog is not money. So once you have identified some topic to write on, the next question you need to address is, when to start make money. And this post is going to discuss just that.

Let us talk about the hard way first. Suppose you want to have a blog that you want to maintain for long, as long as you can, then you have to plan. Planning means, setting some targets and trying to achieve that. The first thing you have to make sure is that you have got a pretty good number of visitors coming to your site. There are a lot of ways you can get people to your site. But the important thing that matters is the quality of the incoming traffic and their reaction to your endeavour. If the first visitor who is coming to your site, happens to see a site with full of ads all around the corner, they they will leave the site immediately and will not come to your site again. So you have to establish your site there before starting to make some money.

Even in this case, you may like to place your ads separately and don’t want to mix it with the content. But you can experiment. Make sure that it will not hinder the experience of your visitors. I don’t think that you may want to get some accidental clicks on some ads which are mixed with content and make money out of that. You can place your ads separately and your visitors will click on that, if the ads are relevant. I am saying this from my experience, although you won’t see any ads in this blog at this time.

Now let us talk about the shortcuts, by which you want to make some money. In this case,you should start advertising and all other stuff immediately. All these shortcuts will not be accepted by many search engines and Internet Service Providers. So they may ban you when they find out that your are playing some tricks to make some handy cash. So your aim here should be to make as much as money before getting banned. I know a lot of people who make money like this. They are making some good amounts also.

In short, you should have a strategy to make money. And the time to start monetize depends on your long term goals with this the site you are having now.If you have some long term plans with your blog, I would suggest you to wait and build some readership before starting out to make some money. But if you have short term plans, then I would recommend you to start monetize now.
