I started this website only couple of days back. I posted some articles. I try to post a quality post a day. But in this post I am going to share something I learned today. If I don’t write this now, then I will forget.
As I said, I started this site in the beginning of this month only. As a webmaster, my aim is to get maximum visitors and keep the existing ones. In an effort to bring more visitors, I submitted this blog to some search engines and was waiting for my site to be indexed. When I saw that my site is still not indexed, I posted a question in Digital Point Forums, asking if my site got banned or not. I posted this question in the morning (IST). I didn’t see any reply even after three – four hours. Then I left the case and was desperately looking for other ways to get my site indexed. After some more time, I started to get reply for my question saying that it is not banned, but it takes some time for the search engines to get the posts indexed and update their database. Then I started getting many more messages which reinforced the importance of patience.
To my surprise, I found a reply which shows that my site also got indexed
. Now I am happy. But this taught me one of the most important lessons – you have to have patience. Let your efforts pay off. Give time for your hard work to converted into result. I am also sharing some of the other things that came up in the thread and what I made out of that discussion:
- Update you site regularly – but genuine content is the king.
- Let the search engines know that you are there – submit site maps to them.
- Participate in forums and other discussions and try to get some quality back links.
- After adding the content ping some services which lets other people know that you have updated your site with some fresh content.
- Last, but not the least – Being a webmaster is all about patience. And you have to get used to that. If you do some serious work, it will get paid off.
I don’t know if this is going to help you as a webmaster – you may be a very experienced webmaster. But if I generalize this, this is applicable to everything in life. Have patience

Guess you have to be patient for fruits to bear on trees…
Not only trees – anything good in life you have to wait and be patient…
